SATURDAY 12TH OCTOBER

ORAL HISTORY TRAINING DAY

Free
The course will equip participants to use and record oral histories and provide practical guidance and demonstrations. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing study of occupational histories in the Forest or develop their own projects after they have completed the training. No background knowledge is necessary, and all equipment is provided.

SUNDAY 13TH OCTOBER

Opportunity to listen to recordings from the Dean Heritage Centre and Voices of the Forest project. Listen to stories of the Forest in people's own words.

2pm - Baroness Jan Royall will give a talk on Forest oral histories then introduce a special family performance of Harry Beddington's play Footing the Bill (£3)

Funded with thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund Foresters Forest  programme.

Normal admission charges apply to visiting the museum although the Oral History event is free and £3 if you would like to see the play only.
