October Half Term at the DHC

Pumpkin Carving: Saturday 22nd October to Sunday 30 October: 11am to 1pm & 1.30pm to 3pm.

Join our master carvers between every day during half term to create a spooky, goofy masterpiece. For a £2 donation* you can choose a football sized pumpkin from the patch, receive tuition & guidance on how to carve a fantastic Halloween pumpkin and have a tea-light to complete the effect.

Other Activities

Monday 24th Be prepared to shiver when you listen to local witch Silvaria Grim’s spooky tales in the Forester’s cottage. It should be frightfully good fun!

Tuesday 25th Lavender Wolfshadow will be taking up residence in the cottage today. She would love you to help her make enchanted biscuits and perhaps take a sip of her homemade cordial…she’s promised not to use essence of toad and newt this year!

Wednesday 26th Join Aethelstan the Anglo-Saxon …if you dare to find out about shocking Saxon surgery, wild warfare and listen to stories about the ‘things’ that live in dark places.

Thursday 27th Spell School with Luna Halfmoon in the schoolroom. You can bring your own wands but any spell-making outside the classroom will not be allowed for insurance purposes. (1.30pm –2.30pm)

Sunday 30th Silvaria Grim will be back to prepare you for Halloween Eve by sharing some truly spooktacular stories.

The craft hut will be open every day for lots of creepy crafting and you can pick up a free Gallery trail from reception.
