May Half Term

  • Dean Heritage Centre

The Centre will be open for the May half term from 10am to 3pm Monday 31st May to Sunday 6th June. Activities start at 11am and finish at 3pm.

This week for the first time in a long time our wonderful facilitators will be joining us to celebrate being able to get out and enjoy the glorious surroundings at the DHC.

Alex will lead small groups around the circular nature trail in the veteran woodlands just beyond our boundary.

Ken will officiate over a wooden medallion extravaganza and introduce you to the Ogham alphabet - you will start with the humble medallion sourced from our woodlands and use a variety of natural and recycled materials to create something wonderful which you can take home or hang in our medallion tree.

Amanda will be working in our outdoor nature gallery to help visitors create unique pieces of art with air drying clay and natural materials. They can be taken home or left to display in our outdoor gallery.

Ma Meek is planning to start planting up her seedlings in the cottage garden and would love you to join in. She has saved you some runner bean seeds from last year so you can plant your own seed to take home and nurture. If you are lucky you may be able to help with a bit of housework too!
