Begins 31 May at 10:00
Ends 6 June at 15:00
Dean Heritage Centre
The Centre will be open for the May half term from 10am to 4pm Monday 31st May to Sunday 6th June.
This week for the first time in a long time our wonderful facilitators will be joining us to celebrate being able to get out and enjoy the glorious surroundings at the DHC.
Confirmed activities are:
May 31st and June 5th - 11am to 3pm - discover the Forest beyond with Alex
Alex will lead small groups around the circular nature trail in the veteran woodlands just beyond our boundary.
Ken will officiate over a wooden medallion extravaganza - you will start with the humble medallion sourced from our woodlands and use a variety of natural and recycled materials to create something wonderful which you can take home or hang in our medallion tree.
Amanda will be working in our outdoor nature gallery to help visitors create unique pieces of art with natural materials. They can be taken home or left to display in our outdoor gallery.
Ma Meek is planning to start planting up her seedlings in the cottage garden and would love you to join in. She has saved you some runner bean seeds from last year so you can plant your own seed to take home and nurture. If you are lucky you may be able to help with a bit of housework too!
Days and timings of all the activities will be confirmed as soon as possible and all activities will take place outside.
We look forward to welcoming you all to the Centre for a half term of fun.
The Coffee Shop will be open for take-aways and pre-booked picnics.
