  • Event details

  • Begins 7 July at 9:00

  • Ends 23 July at 15:00

Forest and Rivers Open Studios (farOpen), first established in 1995, is a nine-day art trail, for artists, craft makers and creative businesses to open their studios. We also present art in galleries and encourage group exhibitions to raise artist's profiles, sell artwork and promote the fantastic diversity of talent, both professional and amateur. The Forest of Dean is bounded by two rivers, in both England and Wales, a beautiful location to sell artworks to local buyers and visitors to the area.

farOpen is a volunteer-led, not for profit organisation, run for and by artists and arts supporters. It is funded by artists’ membership subscriptions and advertising. Its officers are Christine Waygood, Chair, Uschi Arens Price, Secretary and Dorota Rapacz, Treasurer.

Our priority is to get art seen and sold, to create opportunities and contribute to the community. The distribution of our brochure and other marketing material reaches from Hereford to Cheltenham, Ross to Monmouth, Chepstow to Gloucester. We offer a website page and creative activities to members and the public.
