Our magnificent Bear carved by the award-winning chainsaw carver, Clayton Ryder, at this years Fire and Wood Festival is now up for sale!
Standing at over 6 feet tall this grand sculpture can be yours!
Carved from coastal redwood (sequoia sempervirens) a 7 feet by 3 feet log of around fifty years old and was grown in a plantation above Soudley ponds. It weighed around 2 tonnes before carving and was carved only by chainsaw in 7 hours saw time and has been sealed using Rustin’s Danish oil.

The Bear can currently be seen at the Dean Heritage Centre while bidding is open so please do come along and see him.
