Gift Aid Admission Explained

The Gift Aid Admission prices suggested above includes a voluntary donation. This enables us to claim the tax back as part of the Government's Gift Aid scheme.

We are a registered charity, and your extra donation helps us to provide educational activities and exhibitions as well as continue the preservation and communication of the Forest of Dean's unique heritage. We are reliant on the support of volunteers and donors for our survival.

Please note that due to additional charges we incur, debit and credit card payments must be £10 or over.

If you have made an appointment and only wish to visit the library then there is a reduced charge of £5. This is by appointment only.

Car parking is available with additional disabled spaces.

There is no charge for parking but if you are not visiting the centre we would really appreciate a donation to help towards the upkeep of the car park. It's a great location for walks of the area.

Dogs are allowed in the DHC's car park and Tearoom Terrace (on a lead) but only guide and assistance dogs are allowed on the main site.
