Saturday 14th January - Sunday 22nd April
Forest photographer David Lloyd is the most recent local talent to exhibit at the Dean Heritage Centre. Visitors to the centre can view his fascinating and colourful display of photographs.
The exhibition provides an in-depth and intimate account of individuals whose lives are deeply rooted into the history and heritage of the Forest of Dean.
The pictures encompass a wide range of topics capturing the movements of work and home life in the area as well as enchanting landscapes. Highlights include the pictorial documentation of the Freeminers demonstration at Cannop in March 1996 which captures the attitudes and feelings of all who were involved.
Admission to the ‘Spirit of the Forest’ exhibition is included in the standard entry fee to the Dean Heritage Centre.
