Surrounded by Science!
Friday 9th - Sunday 18th March 2012
Nine days of interactive activities, as part of National Science and Engineering Week, to explore and discover our world in motion and the effects science and nature have on the Forest of Dean.

About the Dean Heritage Centre
The Dean Heritage Centre is a registered charity and community founded venture dedicated to protecting, preserving and promoting the unique history and heritage of the beautiful Forest of Dean.
The Centre is many things to many people - whether it's a tourist attraction, an educational facility, a museum, a registered charity or simply an exciting events venue, there is a wide range of things to do and see for all ages.
With five onsite galleries exploring the history of the forest from the Ice Age to the present day; a reconstructed Victorian cottage; a charcoal burner's camp; an adventure playground; daily chainsaw carving demonstrations; a variety of animals, an onsite gift shop and newly refurbished café, there's always something new and exciting to interest, inspire and surprise you.
With a full programme of special events, exhibitions, art shows and educational workshops across the year, it really is a great day out for all the family.
